Magical lists

So yesterday I talked about the run of the mill lists that a lot of people make on a daily basis. The things that we need to do, the things that we have to buy and the things that we want. So how do we bring our lists in to our magical life and workings.

Well right from the start the first thing I would encourage anyone to do is make a list of just what there is that you want to do and what you want to achieve. There is absolute nothing wrong with the idea of bringing the mundane into your magical practices. If lists help you organize one part of your life why note bring them in to the other.

Once you have your list of what you want to achieve break it down in to smaller steps. A car doesn't straight from zero to a hundred instantly it has to go through all the speeds in between along the way. So breaking down your list is the only realistic way to make it achievable. Now that we have that out of the way lets look at another type of magical lists.

We often work to change the reality in which we live maybe we want a better job, a lover, more money, more time, a different co-worker. All of those thing are an end. Each made up of hundreds of little details of differing levels of important. So break out your pen or keyboard and start working some magic. Make the lists of what you want, and then break it down to how to get there. Finally right out the details of your destination, and be sure not to miss out on anything important. Things like gender, rate of pay, or whatever might seem like a silly thing that is obvious but you never know what might happen.

This is great and I agree completely. I think so many think a few mumbled words and visualization will bring dreams come true. Magick is also about the details and paying attention to the signs around you.
Lists are great as is planning and journaling about it as well. When there is big personal magick to be done I actually consult my coven for input, ideas, feedback and such.
