Thirteen Things Reasons to take part in Earth Hour 1.... Because one out makes a difference 2.... Over 2.2 million Sydney residents and over 2,100 businesses switched off, leading to a 10.2% energy reduction across the city And that was just one city. 3.... Only have one planet, so why waste it. 4.... It's one hour of your life, don't you think it's worth it. How could it not be? 5.... That one hour in Sydney is roughly the same as taking 48,616 cars off the road for a year. 6.... Even in Winnipeg Manitoba where are power comes from water. We are still doing damage to the environment when we build massive dams. 7.... Anyone can take part, all you need to do is turn off the lights it's that simple. 8.... Candles make everything nicer. 9.... Do it with friends and make a party out of it. 10... Turn off or required lights takes no effort and doesn't put you in any danger. 11... Tell your friends and tell the world. The more people who know the bigger the difference it will make. 12... Share your experiences with others when your done. 13... Things are more fun in the dark.
