Thirteen Things Iron Chief Secret Ingredents For those of you who haven't seen the show let me explain. Each show started with the revealing of a secret Ingredent and every dish that is made has to feature and include that ingredent. Now the secret ingredent can pretty much be anything but it is almost always some rare and often strange food item that the average person in their kitchens wouldn't have a clue what to do with. So here is my suggestions for secret ingredents for the next season. After all every show needs a bit of a shake up from time to time. 1.... Kraft Macaroni and Cheese 2.... Mystery Cans When he pulls the cover off the secret ingredent he reveals a bunch of tin cans of various shapes and sizes. All of the labels have peeled off and the rule is that if you open it you have to use it. 3.... Klik / Holiday / Spam This one would be all about the presentation and the spam sculptures 4.... Whale Blubber The eskimos eat it. 5.... Left overs from the last three shows There always seem to buy way more food then they could possible need. 6.... Hobo We collected, cleaned and marinated five Hobo's for our judges dinning pleasure. 7.... Road Kill They collect it and it has to go somewhere 8.... The Rare White Rhino Only 14 or so left in the world so this meal is a once in a lift time experience 9.... Carmel Because it makes so many thing so much better. 10.. Open Flame Everything you make and serve must be cooked over an open flame. 11.. Ethnic Everything served must be an ethnic dish 12.. Child It's like veally good 13.. Vegan Everything you serve must be vegan

Reality TV at its best

For a while now I've been trying to cut down on my TV consumption. One of the ways I have been doing that is by avoiding watching new shows. Tonight I kind of broke that rule and watched a new show called 'Oprah Big Give' and what an amazing show it is.

I've long been a fan of the Extreme Home Make Over. A show that shows up and makes over a single families home. Oprah's Big Give blows it out the water tonights show had 7 contestants each had a hundred thousand dollars and they had to give it away. The rules 24 hours to do it, no more then 500 per person or 10,000 per single location. The last rule was that they couldn't just give away the money they had to give away stuff.

The past hour was perhaps some of the best tv I've watched in a long time. Seeing the joy on families faces as a man spent 10,000 dollars to buy member of a community food. Grabbing 20 people in a Target and giving them a $500 shopping spree. So many great things so many great ideas.

If youhave cable check it out. If you don't google it and read about the show you won't be disappointed...

Writers Strike

Well there is hope that the writers strike could be over as early as the end of the week. *Crossing my fingers* I think the shows that I like have either completely run out of episodes or have maybe 1 or 2 left.

To make matters worse Reality TV continues to gain a foot hold. We now have such high end programing as "My dad is better than your Dad" A show that pits dads against one another for prizes and fame. We have "The Moment of Truth" a show that hooks people up to a polygraph in front of friends and loved ones. Then asks questions like "Would you cheat on your wife if you knew you could get away with it?" or "Do you really care what happens to the starving children in Africa?"

For the sake of our sanity I truly hope that they can reach an agreement before reality TV takes hold...

TV show black out dates

Sadly I watched far to much TV or at least I did. I'm generally working toward cutting it back. Thank you writers strike, your doing wonders for me. TV guide posted an article today sharing how many of each show are left before they run out completely. Already we have to much reality TV on the air, and it's only getting worse with each new show. Please big networks give the writers what they deserve.
